Survived the Holiday and John Daly!
Howdy everyone! Yes, I am still alive. Been very busy with work here and keeping up with our crazy weather. For Memorial Day weekend we put on a scramble which was fun for all.
We changed hosts for this blog, and my online partner was occupied with some family health issues. That is why I am just now getting the post below out.
I had a great time at John Daly’s charity golf tournament benefiting the Boy Scouts. They had a great turnout and it was definitely for a good cause. I visited with John briefly. As you can imagine he does draw a crowd. Plus being his home town tournament he was quite in demand. His golf course is in a beautiful setting looking across to Mt. Nebo and overlooking Lake Dardenelle. We finished 2nd in our flight due to the great playing of my good friend Donnie Owens. If you ever wanted to emulate a swing, his is as good as anyones. He is the epitome of what I teach. Shame I did not have Robert there videoing him.
After the past 2 weeks finally got a little time to breath and relax!
This morning I was hitting balls and worked only on my swing trigger. It’s amazing how good your timing becomes when your trigger is working.
Tempo of the take away. I can’t emphasize how important this is to make a good swing. Hope everyone had a good memorial day and weekend. To be honest, I couldn’t help but thinking of my friend Mike Thomas who was killed in Vietnam. He was a good guy. Bittersweet holiday when you realize what the day is really supposed to be about.
